Chery Australia has revealed further details of its upcoming Stockman ute, providing a first look at the performance, towing and off-road capability of its new diesel-electric Super Hybrid powertrain.

Designed to combine the long-distance capability of a diesel engine with the efficiency and refinement of electrification, the Stockman will deliver 350kW of combined power and 800Nm of torque, making it one of the most powerful electrified utes in its segment.

The Stockman is also engineered for serious work and off-road capability, with a 3,495kg braked towing capacity, 750kg unbraked towing capacity and front, centre and rear differential locks. Ground clearance exceeds 247mm, while standard all-terrain tyres and a double-wishbone front and leaf-spring rear suspension configuration further reinforce its off-road credentials.

Inside, the Stockman combines a rugged exterior and high-capability chassis with a technology-focused cabin, featuring a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, 15.6-inch infotainment touchscreen and 14-speaker audio system.

A comprehensive suite of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) will also be offered, adding to the Stockman's combination of performance, capability and everyday usability.

The arrival of the Stockman marks Chery Australia's entry into the highly competitive Australian ute segment, with the model developed to meet the demands of customers looking for a combination of towing ability, off-road capability, everyday practicality and electrified performance.
